Scooters
Scooters can be a fun and economical way to get around town. They are cheap on gas, cost almost nothing to insure, and can be parked virtually anywhere. Furthermore, even when purchased brand new, they are often relatively inexpensive to buy.
While scooters have been popular around the world for the past five or six decades, they have recently seen a boom in popularity in the United States, especially within the last couple years. The increasing cost of gasoline has spurred a renewed interest in cheap transportation. And few methods of transport are as cheap on gas as a “scoot”.
Scooters can be found in many different sizes. For beginning riders, a small engine model is usually recommended (under 150cc). However, some designs can be found with engines that approach 500cc or more.
