Motor scooter
A motor scooter is one of the most economical ways to get around town. Most scooters get an average of 70-80 MPG, and many of the newer models can achieve as high as 120 MPG when equipped with fuel injection. And because most gas tanks on these vehicles are less than three gallons, filling up costs only a few bucks.
While the motor scooter, as a concept, has been around since the beginning of the 20th century, it wasn’t until after World War II that it really came into its own. European manufacturers began to build them as an inexpensive means of transportation through war torn streets. The idea caught on quickly and soon spread to countries all over the world.
Today, the motor scooter is arguably the most popular vehicle on the planet. Tens of millions have been sold throughout the world and the industry shows very few signs of slowing down. New innovations such as fuel injection and larger, more powerful motors are only making these vehicles more attractive to consumers.
