Electric scooter

For those that want the ultimate in green transportation, consider an electric scooter. These vehicles require no gasoline, produce no emissions, and are as fun to drive as anything on two wheels. And as gas prices continue to go up, the popularity of these vehicles only increases.

An electric scooter is powered by an electric motor rather than an internal combustion engine. An onboard battery supplies the motor with the power it needs to operate and can be recharged by simply plugging it into an electrical outlet. These scooters also have fewer moving parts, so there is less equipment that can break down.

While an electric scooter is very environmentally friendly, there are some drawbacks. The most commonly cited drawback is their lack of power when compared to a gas-operated model. Also, they have a relatively short range of travel due to the need to recharge the batteries.
